For debut authors navigating the Australian publishing landscape, the path to traditional publication is extraordinarily narrow. A handful of literary agents. A small pool of publishers. Submission windows that open rarely, close quickly, and carry guidelines so specific that the vast majority of voices, particularly in fantasy and thriller, simply do not fit the mould.
The stories are good enough, the doors are too few.
Blythe Press was founded by an author who struggled to find her way in. Instead, she built the lock, moulded the key, and opened the door herself. We exist to give debut voices the access they deserve and the publishing experience that was previously reserved for the fortunate few.
We are an Independent Australian Publisher specialising in fantasy and thriller fiction. We manage the full publishing process, from editorial development and cover design, to formatting, print, global distribution, and marketing, so that our authors can focus entirely on their craft.
We are selective, because quality is non-negotiable. We are invested, because the success of every title we publish is our success. And we are committed to ensuring that Australian storytelling is heard far beyond our borders.
